KBP Cares Giving Review for 2021

Because of your generous fundraising efforts, we had the humbling opportunity to help employees overcome difficult hardships the past year, from natural disasters in our southern and eastern markets, to continued medical emergencies in each state, through the loss of loved ones and everything in-between. Together, we have provided great support and service to the KBP Family.

Giving Total 2021

  • $350,000 in grants awarded to KBP families experiencing hardships.

Contribution Total 2021

  • $622,091 in total donations from payroll contributions and fundraising through our Hope Run 5k events, Giving Tuesday and the holiday flash fundraiser.

When you see the numbers above, it may be hard to conceptualize just what your contributions are going to but, it’s clear from employees like Desiree McAleenan, what the program can do for those who seek our help.

“You all helped my family twice - once in 2017 and in 2018. I was pregnant and my other half was hit by a car, and I was not able to pay my living costs on my own. I called in tears, and an advocate walked me through the process and assured me they would do everything in their power to fight for me. You guys approved me for my first grant that saved my family from being homeless. In 2018, we had to be out of our apartment, and I did not have the funds to move. I reached out again in tears not knowing where we would sleep that night. I was told not to worry, and that Cares would have us in a hotel by the end of my shift. And that you did, not only that but when I found an apartment Cares paid all costs for us. I have helped many employees fill out applications and send documents and you guys have always come through and helped people when they were hopeless. I'm now a managing partner and my store is 100% on KBP Cares participation. And as much as we went through, we finally bought our first home last year! You guys helped us make it there, so thank you!

With love, Desiree McAleenan”

Thank you all for participating in KBP Cares through donations, fundraising, and overall support. Because of your collective efforts, we can help those like Desiree and so many other employees experiencing hardships on their own. We’re looking forward to another year of working together to help the families of KBP.

With Gratitude,

KBP Cares Team
